Liberator's Landing is a collector group that strives to tell the stories of the people who scarified for freedom in the face of evil. Through artifacts, photos, and the growing number of past voices, we tell the important history from previous world war conflicts. Our virtual gallery and resource library provides an online space for anyone, anywhere to learn, read, and see the items and stories associated to bravery, courage, and sometimes, even desperation.
You may wonder why people collect such artifacts, some of which can be tied to evil and hate filled ideologies. Well, the very first collectors of artifacts, such as Nazi related ones, were the soldiers that took items as trophies on the battlefield. Often times, bringing the artifacts home as a souvenir from their time overseas and as spoils of war. As time passes and veterans pass, these souvenirs become passed down, sold, or even thrown away. Who will preserve the legacy and lessons associated to these items? For we are now the tellers of the tales. As through these artifacts, we can continue educate ourselves and learn the hard taught lessons of the past. “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” – George Santayana
